Hon’ble Shri Justice CV Bhadang

Hon’ble Shri Justice CV Bhadang former Judge of the Bombay High Court retired from the Hon’ble Bombay High Court in November, 2022. He graduated in Science from G.S. College of Commerce, Science and Arts, Khamgaon in 1981. He obtained LL.B. Degree from Nagpur University and was enrolled as an Advocate on 5 December 1984.

He practiced mainly on civil and criminal side in District Courts and at the Nagpur Bench of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court, before joining Maharashtra Judicial Service, as a directly recruited District Judge on 3 October 2000.

As a part of his assignment, he has handled civil commercial and arbitration matters before the Hon’ble Bombay High Court and Hon’ble District Court, Nashik. He also worked in the Registry of the Bombay High Court, on various positions, as Registrar (Vigilance), Registrar (Judicial), Registrar (Personnel) and Registrar (Inspection) and finally as Registrar General before his elevation as an Additional judge of the Bombay High Court on 3 March 2014. He was made a permanent Judge of the High Court on 3 March 2016.

He is ardent proponent of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Online Dispute Resolution. Through his various pronouncements, he has helped parties in faster resolution of their disputes. We are privileged to have Sir join our Advisory Board.

DR. NAVNEET SHARMA

Dr Sharma’s interest lies where business strategy, economics, law, and policy converge. He assists Governments and Corporates address policy and business issues relating to “business responsibility”, “market structure” and “business conduct” through designing customized advisory and capacity-enabling solutions.

Dr. Sharma is the Director General at CUTS Institute for Regulation and Competition (CIRC). Prior to CIRC, Dr Sharma held VB Padode Chair Professor in Business Responsibility and the responsibility of Registrar at Vijaybhoomi University. From 2009 to 2012, he steered CIRC as Director. In his professional career, he has taken up various leadership roles with the IICA under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, and Economic Laws Practice (ELP), to name a few.

He is ardent proponent of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Online Dispute Resolution. We are privileged to have Sir join our Advisory Board.

His key policy engagements include Planning Commission Working Group on Competition Policy; MCA’s High-Level Committee for Framing India’s National Competition Policy and MCA’s High-Level Committee for Reforming Business Environment in India. He has a Ph.D. in International Trade Law and Economics and an MBA. At CIRC, he leads a team of specialist lawyers, regulatory economists, financial analysts, experts in AI and ML, and sector experts to deliver solutions to clients in the private sector and governments in the field of competition law, online dispute resolution etc.
