Online Dispute Resolution Professional Education Course Details
As duly noted by the NITI Aayog Expert Committee on ODR in “Designing the Future of Dispute Resolution: The ODR Policy Plan for India”, October 2021, CIRC and WeVaad have joined forces to create a world-class Certification Pathways in Online Dispute Resolution. This is done with the view that a well-developed and robust ODR framework requires well-trained professionals to build trust in the end users—individuals, businesses, and the government.
According to the New Education Policy (NEP), the learning pathway has been separated into three levels, with the ability to enter and depart at any time. In order to reduce disruption at work, the training will be given online.
Our Program's Key Characteristics
Live Face-to-Face Learning
Each course module's assigned live face-to-face learning hours must be attended by participants.
Materials
Prior to the start of each term's classes, students are expected to spend the required learning hours reading. All participants have access to the reading material for each learning module in advance, as well as academic papers, book chapters, teaching instances, media pieces, and videos.
Technology-Assisted ODR Simulations
At the WeVaad ODR Platform, students will have the chance to participate in active ODR simulations. Moreover, the program's technology-assisted component will be provided via a combination of synchronous sessions, asynchronous modules, online quizzes, assignments, and other technologies, depending on the requirements of that particular course and the preferences of the relevant faculty. Digital platforms will be used to conduct online interactive sessions and active simulations of online dispute settlement.
Assignments
Live sessions and practical sessions comprise assignments. Individual assignments can be in the form of presentations and ODR study reports, as well as online and in-person quizzes, discussion forums, role plays, and case studies.
